Retained Search
Miera Consultants International provides to it's clients an executive search service known as RETAINED SEARCH. This type of service and financial arrangement is explained herein.
Definition of Retained Search
A Retained Search is represented by a signed agreement between Miera Consultants International (MCI Search), and a client organization which provides that MCI Search shall be the client's exclusive agent for the purpose of conducting a search for an individual to be employed by the client to fill a specific position.
Under terms of this agreement and arrangement MCI Search is the only source that may provide candidates to be interviewed and to fill the position with the client. All candidates for the position, regardless of the source, must be reviewed, screened , referenced and ultimately presented to the client by MCI Search.
Fees and costs
MCI Search fees are simple and all costs that are payable by our client are incurred only with the clients prior knowledge and approval. All travel and related costs in connection with the search which are incurred by the candidates and by MCI Search shall be paid by the client.
MCI Search fees on a Retained Search is twenty-five percent (25%) of the first year base compensation for the search position.
Schedule of payment
The search fee is due in three (3) installments as follows: 1st third is due at the time the search agreement is signed; 2nd third is due when the interview process commences; and 3rd and final payment is due when a candidate is extended an offer and accepts. The fee is earned by stages one, two and three above.
